RCDolner managed the construction of two Whole Foods stores: one in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City and the other in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
The Chelsea store was set into the ground floor and cellar of an existing pre-war building, requiring intricate coordination of the stores equipment with the building's existing mechanical and electrical systems. Detailed coordination was also required to adapt the high-end millwork and display cabinets to the building's structure.
The Ridgewood store required the provision of a new core and shell. A steel-framed structure was set upon a strip footing foundation. Mechanical and electrical services were coordinated with the high-end millwork, cabinets and equipment.
