Skirball Center for The Performing Arts

Theater Lobby is located one level below the main entrance to the Skirball Center and facing La Guardia Place, the main theater lobby provides a spacious and elegant atmosphere where audience members can socialize prior to the performance.

Lobby Cafe will serve hot and cold beverages as well as snacks to theater patrons and will be a popular gathering place before productions and during intermissions.

Theater Balcony is accessible from either side of the theater, the balcony provides superb views of performances and screening from each of its nearly 200 seats.

Seats in both the balcony and the orchestra of the Skirball Center theater are available as memorial gifts.

The Loges boxes accommodate between six and ten people. The Orchestra Pit in the main theater will be used for the many musical theater productions presented by NYU students.

It is equipped with the latest audio technology which enhances the excellent acoustics of the theater.

There is a Technician Booth with light, sound, and projection that is outfitted with fully integrated audio and visual systems, and will enable NYU to present dance, music, and theatrical performances of the highest quality.

The most modern equipment is available for the screening of films and videos, making the theatre an ideal site for festivals and competitions.

The theater in the Skirball Center will provide comfortable dressing rooms for use by the University’s young actors, actresses, and other performers. Dressing rooms will also be available on the 4th floor for students performing in the Eisner and Lubin Auditorium.
